Is Bluesky vegan and cruelty free?

Yes! Bluesky products are and always will be cruelty-free - we never test on animals. We are also registered by The Vegan Society as Vegan Friendly and we are registered by PETA as Cruelty Free.

Is Bluesky free of harsh chemicals?

Yes, Bluesky gel polish is 7-free and doesn’t contain the 3 common chemicals found in nail polishes (Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde), and does not contain 4 other chemicals (Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, TPHP and Xylene).

Do you have a referral scheme?

Yes, you can sign up here to join our Bluesky referral programme. Your friends will get 10% off, and if they shop via your link you'll get 10% off too. Please note: purchases of the Monthly Subscription Service or any cancelled or refunded purchases will not count towards the referral scheme.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes currently ship to 230 countries and territories. Shipping fee varies based on order size and can be calculated upon checkout.

How do I use your discount code for 10% off my first order?

You'll need to sign up to our mailing list. You'll then receive a code, which you can use at the checkout to redeem against your purchase. Please refer to our T&Cs for how and when you can use your code. Make sure you check your junk/spam folder if your code doesn't appear in your inbox. You will need to enter the code at checkout to get 10% off - this is not an automatic discount.

My 10% discount code won't work, can you help?

In order to use our 10% off discount code you must ensure you meet all of the following criteria, as noted in our terms and conditions: this must be your first order on our website, order must be a minimum spend of £15, order must include some or all full priced items - our discount code won't work in conjunction with automatic discounts, limited edition bundles or special offers. You can only use one discount code at any one time.

I'm a professional nail technician - how can I sign up as a Bluesky Professional?

You can register on our professional website to gain access to our professional gel polish range. You'll need a copy of your certificate or public liability insurance in order to be accepted.

Do you offer a bulk buying option for Bluesky gel polish?

Yes, we offer a bulk buying option for our gel polish and an option that also includes top and base coats. Please click here to enquire about purchasing.


ORDERS

Order confirmation:

Once you reach the checkout, please ensure you check your shipping and billing address so that they are correct. It is your responsibility to ensure that your address entered is correct. You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been placed. Please note we shall not be responsible if our e-mail is identified by any webmail service as junk mail and is undelivered.

Cancelling or amending an order:

We are unable to amend or cancel orders that have already been processed. You are welcome to return any unwanted items as per our refund and returns policy. 

Who can I contact about my order?

If you have a query, please email info@blueskycosmetics.co.uk with your order number and the team can take a look into this for you.

One of the products I want to buy is on pre order, when will this be shipped?

We will always add an approx. time frame for pre order items on the product page. Please note that, if you do place an order with a pre order product included, your whole order will be shipped together once the pre order product is available.

When will my order be shipped?

If you select Standard Delivery (Free or 99p): Orders placed before 2pm Mon-Fri (excluding Bank Holidays) will be shipped same day. Orders placed after this time, and orders placed at weekends, will be shipped next business day. You will always receive a shipping confirmation email to confirm your order is on its way.
Please note that couriers may at times experience sporadic delays across the network, meaning some parcels could take longer to be delivered at times.

How do I update my Bluesky account address?

Log in to your account and select View Addresses then select Add New Address, update your details and select the tick box that says Set As Default Address then Add Address.


REFUNDS AND RETURNS

Requesting a refund:

Our returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase then, unfortunately, we can't offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
If you would like to return your item, please email info@blueskycosmetics.co.uk with your order number and reason for return so we can process this for you. 

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you are shipping an item over £20, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.

Once your return is received, it will be checked by the warehouse to confirm original condition. Your refund will then be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5 working days. 

Please note that Gift Cards are not eligible for refunds and no cash alternatives can be offered.

Orders paid for via PayPal may be eligible for PayPal’s returns service, whereby PayPal will refund your return costs up to £15. Please see their website for more information on how to activate this.

Damaged or faulty items:

You are responsible for examining items following delivery. If the items delivered are damaged or faulty, please contact us within 3 days from the delivery date by emailing info@blueskycosmetics.co.uk.

Provided that the items are unused and have been stored safely (out of direct sunlight and away from your Nail Lamp when curing is in progress) we can replace the item(s) or offer a refund.

If you do not give us notice within 3 days, we shall not be liable for the damaged or faulty items if defects have occurred during transportation and would be apparent upon examination of your items when delivered.

Missing or incorrect items:

Please check your order confirmation email to find all items that were ordered. If the items you received do not match those on the order confirmation, please contact us within 3 days from the delivery date by emailing info@blueskycosmetics.co.uk with your order number and images of your original packaging.

Provided that the items are unused and have been stored safely (out of direct sunlight and away from your Nail Lamp when curing is in progress) we will re-send the correct item(s) or offer a refund.

If you do not give us notice within 3 days, we shall not be liable for missing or incorrect items if defects have occurred during transportation and would be apparent upon examination of your items when delivered.

How do I apply gel polish?

How should I store gel polish?

All gel polish and Bluesky products should be stored out of direct sunlight and away from heat. You'll also need to make sure you keep your bottles away from your UV/LED lamp when in use as any exposure to light can cause the gel polish to cure in the bottle and become hard and lumpy.

How do I remove Bluesky gel polish?

How do I apply Bluesky products?

Can I soak off Bluesky nail extensions?

All our gel nail extension products can be soaked off using Acetone or our Remover Wraps.

How do I clean my Bluesky nail tools?

Wipe off any debris from your Cuticle Nipper/Pusher or Tweezers and disinfect by submerging in Cleanser Solution or alcohol. Do not use any acid-based solutions.

PRODUCTS: NAIL EXTENSIONS

What's the difference between Hard Gel, Builder Gel, Gum Gel and Lexan Gel?

Hard Gel comes in a bottle (just like your gel polish) and is a great product to use for overlays on the natural nail for strength. Builder Gel and Gum Gel are great for creating any size of nail extension.

Gum Gel has a gum-like consistency meaning you can shape the extension before curing, cutting down on the time you need to file your nails into shape. Builder Gel has a thinner consistency and is easy to apply over nail forms to create your nail extensions.

Lexan Gel uses our fastest-ever curing technology to dry extensions in 5 seconds! It's great for short-medium extensions and can be used to fix, fill and smooth nails.

Can I use Hard Gel to create nail extensions?

We recommend using this product for overlays to strengthen the natural nail, and opting for either Gum Gel, Builder Gel or Lexan Gel for creating nail extensions.

What is the Bluesky Monthly Subscription Service?

Our subscription service, aka Nail Mail, delivers exclusive colours in an exclusive bottle to our loyal Bluesky customers. Every month, you will receive three band new colours in our red 5ml gel polish bottles, direct to your doorstep. The exclusive subscriber colours will not be available to purchase anywhere else in the UK. Perfect for those new to gel polish or an exciting and unique addition to your existing Bluesky Collection.

What is the difference between Nail Mail and Nail Mail Discovery Edition?

If you subscribe for our Nail Mail Discovery Edition, not only will you receive your 3 x 5ml colours every month, you'll also get something extra to complement your Nail Mail.

This can be anything from early access to a new product, a nail art addition to enhance your manicure, or something you’ve never tried out before to give you endless possibilities for your manicures! 

How much is Nail Mail and how does it work?

The Bluesky Monthly subscription is just £12 per month, with completely FREE UK delivery. Subscribe by the last day of the month to receive that month's Nail Mail. E.g. if you subscribe on 31st July, you will receive July's subscription (subject to availability). If you subscribe on 1st August, you will receive August's subscription. Nail Mail is shipped throughout the month, and you will receive a shipping confirmation email as soon as your order has been despatched.

Nail Mail Discovery is £16.99 per month - so that's only £4.99 extra to receive another surprise every month!

How do I upgrade to Nail Mail Discovery?

If you subscribe to our normal Nail Mail Subscription and would like to upgrade, simply log into your account > manage subscriptions > edit > change product variant and swap to the Discovery Edition and click save. 

How is payment taken?

Your initial payment of £12 or £16.99 will be taken upon placing your first order. Recurring billing then takes place monthly on the same date you signed up. E.g. if you signed up on 5th July, your next payment will be taken on 5th August. Your Nail Mail will then be processed on this date each month too. Those who have subscribed for 3 and 6 month subscriptions will have payment taken every 3 or 6 months.

Can I change the date my Nail Mail is processed?

If you are signed up for our monthly subscription you can change this at any time by logging into your Bluesky account. Those signed up for 3 and 6 month subscriptions will need to email info@blueskycosmetics.co.uk in order to change their process date.

 

How do I update my Nail Mail address?

When you log in to your account select Manage Subscriptions, select Shipping at the top of the page and Add New Shipping Info. Add your new address and select your payment details. Then you will need to update the address on your subscription. Select Subscriptions at the top of the page, find your active subscription, select Edit then Shipping & Billing. Your new address should be listed at the top. When you've found your new address select Use This Shipping And Billing Pair.
Alternatively, you can email us at info@blueskycosmetics.co.uk and we will update this for you.

 

Can I cancel my subscription?

You are free to cancel your subscription at any time during your subscription period. Please note that you must cancel before your next payment is due, otherwise payment will be taken as normal and you will be charged for that month's subscription. You can cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your Bluesky account.

To make it even easier for you, you also have the option to skip a month, which you can do by logging into your Bluesky account > manage subscriptions > delivery schedule > skip. The payment will then not be processed for this month, and the next payment will be taken the next month unless you choose to skip that too. 

You can skip as many months as you like, which means should you wish to start receiving Nail Mail again there’s no need to re-subscribe. 

Are the Discovery Edition products exclusive?

While you may get a first look at brand new products with our Discovery Edition, they will not always be exclusive to the subscription service like your colours. They may be added to our website and launched at a later date, but by being a subscriber it means you get your hands on them before anyone else!

How does a Nail Mail Gift Subscription work?

You can purchase a gift subscription for a loved one for a birthday or special occasion. Simply choose your Nail Mail gift subscription here and add it to your cart. At checkout, enter the email address and shipping address of the lucky person you're gifting the subscription to.

Enter your own billing and payment details and confirm your order. The subscription will expire after the 3 or 6 months has elapsed.
