Festival nail ideas for this summer: top trends and nail art!
When it comes to festival season, your nails play a huge part in your outfit choice. No matter what the UK weather brings (and we do hope it’s sunshine) at least we know one thing for certain: a gel nail manicure will always look as perfect on the last day as it did on the first!
We’ve taken the top summer nail trends to give you some perfect festival nail ideas that are easy to do from home so you can rock a cool new look at your next festival. Take a look our must have staycation essentials!
Get the party started with neon!
We all know neon never goes out of style and this summer is no different. Neon shades are some of the most on-trend colours this season and make perfect festival nails for that bright and bold look.
If you’re all about pink neon then our go-to is Cherise (Neon06), whereas Sorbet Zest (Neon34) is our favourite vibrant yellow.
For something different we love going for a pastel shade from our neon range; Pacific (Neon19) is a gorgeous and bright sky blue. Of course, our classic best-selling neon blue will always be Blue Bamboo (Neon32) – we don’t think you can get your hands on a brighter shade of blue!
Go for glitter

Our favourite glitter gel polish look is a feature nail; combining Silver Glitter Explosion (80573) with Studio White (80526) for a stunning set that will go with any outfit.
Create something different with ombré
If you’re feeling a little creative then we’ve got the perfect festival style for you! Ombré nails are a huge trend this summer and we’re seeing more and more of you experiment with this style. We love pairing Bicycle Yellow (80576) and Anemona (SS1912) for a vibrant festival look.
We created this by applying Bicycle Yellow to half the nail and Anemona to the other half. In the middle where the two colours meet, take a brush and move it from side to side to blend the colours together. Cure for 60 seconds under your Bluesky LED Lamp and then repeat the process with another coat.
Matrix Gel Magic
A quick and easy nail art product that will give your gel manicure a real wow-factor this festival season! Matrix Gel creates a spider web effect when applied to the nail, with our black and white Matrix Gels being our go-tos for plenty of different colours.
Here, we’ve paired Matrix Gels Black Orlov and Peal of Lao Tzu with our pink neon Cherise for a sweet and simple festival vibe.
