How did you get started with gel manicures?

I always liked to have a beautiful nails. So I will always have painted nails with normal nail varnish with some designs on them done with tooth pick! Then my friends always asked me to do their nails and one day one of them just said to me: “Why don’t you take a course and become a professional?" So a couple of months later in 2015 I took my first course.

How long have you been using Bluesky?

I’ve always used Bluesky, back home in Bulgaria at that time and now Bluesky is one of the best brands!

What are your must-have products that everyone should have – and why?

Oh, that’s hard to choose - I love all the products! Gum Gel is one of my favourites as I can do so many things with it. I can fix a broken nail, extend, overlay or do different designs with it.

If you had to choose your favourite Bluesky colour, what would it be?

My favourite has always been Fruit Twist - Neon 25 I just love the colour.

What’s your favourite set of nails you’ve ever created?

Maya Nail Design

The milky glitter ombré/hidden glitter is one of my favourite designs lately.

  • Prep the nails as usual and then apply Base Coat with a 60 second cure.
  • Apply loose glitter close to the cuticle and use a nail art brush to gently move it down the nail.
  • Apply either white or pink Hard Gel over the top to create the ombré and cure for 60 seconds.
  • Apply your No Wipe Top Coat with a 60 second cure.
  • Apply White Gel Paint over the top to add the finishing touches.

What does being part of the Bluesky Ambassador team mean to you?

To be a part of the Bluesky team is a privilege and honour. It’s like being part of another family. We all love the brand and the products and we want to share the love and our knowledge with other people.

How did you get started with gel manicures?

I went to college for one year and attained a Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology in 2014. I started using gel as I love the extra shiny finish and the longevity of the gel manicure.

I have a passion for hand painted nail art and I find that using gel polish is more practical, especially as I can cure between each step of the design and therefore the colours don’t run together and I can easily wipe away any little unwanted details.

How long have you been using Bluesky?

I have used Bluesky for around 8 or 9 years, I have tried other gel polishes within this time and found that nothing compares to Bluesky!

What are your must-have products that everyone should have – and why?

Definitely the No Wipe Top Coat, it leaves you with the perfect finish!

If you had to choose your favourite Bluesky colour, what would it be?

Atop The Trees (S08N) is a super sparkly emerald green, this one has to be my favourite colours, although I don’t get to use it as often as I’d like to. Second choice and my most used colour is Stoned Rose (ND20) it’s a sheer nude, compliments every skin tone and it looks great with every kind of nail art!

What’s your favourite set of nails you’ve ever created?

It’s so hard to choose just one favourite. I create so many different themed sets, for example: florals, intricate character work, abstract etc. However, I think the giraffe has to be my favourite - I painted this freehand on myself!

I used Creekside (80596) as my base and for the small details I used Personality (DC115), Chai Tea (WR01), Blackpool (80518), Faux Fur (80538) and Palm Deco (80645). I started off by painting the shape of the head, the ears and then the neck, curing between each part. I use a 6mm liner brush to do most of my nail art.

What does being part of the Bluesky Ambassador team mean to you?

It’s great to be part of such a creative team. I’m extremely proud as I’ve been using the products and speaking highly of the brand for so many years!

How did you get started with gel manicures?

I used to see my friend every two weeks for a gel manicure until one day I started asking her questions on what were the best products to use and how to apply. For a few months after that, I continued with my appointments but started paying more attention to what she was doing. In 2014 I ordered my first Bluesky products from Amazon: Base Coat, Top Coat, a red and a black. I haven't looked back since!

How long have you been using Bluesky?

I've been using Bluesky for 7 years!

What are your must-have products that everyone should have – and why?

My must have products are: Acid-Free Primer, Hard Gel, Ridge Filler Base Coat and Cuticle Oil (which smells delicious!).

If you had to choose your favourite Bluesky colour, what would it be?

For a long time, I always wore either Pillar Box Red (D160) or Blackpool (80518) but my collection has grown to well over 100 colours, and now I have a favourite shade of every colour so I find it difficult to choose. I even wear pinks now which I never would have worn before, as pink is not my up there colour to wear when it comes to clothing or beauty products!

What’s your favourite set of nails you’ve ever created?

Ellenporium nail design

It was hard to choose my favourite nails as I love them all, so I have chosen one I know a lot of Bluesky customers love: Musk Pink (A044) and Pink Gold (S06N)!

  • After prepping your nails, apply Base Coat and cure for 60 seconds.
  • Apply one coat of Clear Hard Gel and cure for 60 seconds.
  • Apply two coats of Musk Pink to all nails, curing for 60 seconds between each new coat.
  • Apply two coats of Pink Gold on each ring finger, curing for 60 seconds between each new coat.
  • Apply your Top Coat and cure for a final 60 seconds, then wipe away your residue using a Lint Free Wipe and Cleanser Solution
  • Finish with Cuticle Oil.

What does being part of the Bluesky team mean to you?

I absolutely love being part of the team because I get to share my love of Bluesky with so many like minded people out there, whether that be sharing photos of my work, or helping a customer with any questions they may have.

I always make sure to get in contact with the team if I am unsure on how to help a customer but over all, our customers are always happy to have spoken with me!
