2020 Nail Trends
A new decade is upon us, bringing with it new beginnings, new opportunities… and new nails! We can’t wait to explore some of the top nail trends for 2020 and we want to make sure you’re ahead of the curve when it comes to what’s hot in the nail world.
From the Pantone colour of the year to popular nail art trends, we’ve chosen our favourite styles so you can get ahead with your new year nails.
In With The Blue: Pantone Colour of the Year
It’s out with coral and in with classic blue, with 2020’s official colour of the year being chosen earlier this month. Symbolising protection, stability, peace and confidence, it’s no surprise that this popular shade has already been a hit for nail designs this winter when it comes to blue gel polish.
Your favourite gel polish shade this season has been Caring; a gorgeous blue glitter from our AW19 Collection and the perfect shade to take into the new year to sport 2020’s colour of the year. If you want to swap the sparkle for something more subtle, our most popular classic blue shade is Navy Seals and one we know will continue to be a huge hit in 2020.
Reverse French Manicure
This new take on the French Mani has been growing in popularity since the summer and is definitely one we’ll be taking into 2020 with us. The reverse French manicure is a simple yet stunning twist on a classic and an easy nail art design to create.
This minimalist look helps to maximise style and sophistication, whilst trying out something new. You can create this look using a classic nude gel polish for the base and pairing it with a glitter for something different.
Even more modern takes on the French Mani: neon tips, double corner mani, pointed tips.
Animal Print Nails
Animal prints are going to be a popular nail trend for 2020, and we’re 100% here for it. Think anything from cow print to the classic tortoiseshell nail art design – and everything in between. This look allows you to experiment with colour and style; and we think the more out there, the better.
Any animal print nail design can be created with your favourite gel polish shades – we love creating the tortoiseshell look with any of our dark gel polishes paired with our classic Blackpool, of course!
A simple trend that doesn’t include nail art? Count us in. If you’re a fan of being on-trend but nail art isn’t your thing, this simple stylish look will leave you with stunning nails with minimal effort required.
Sported at Paula Knorr’s Spring 2020 catwalk at September’s London Fashion Week show, our metallic/chrome design was a super popular style and one we can’t wait to see you all wearing in the new year. You can take a look at our best gel polish colours to create this nail trend that were used at LFW.
